What an affiliate link is
Some links on this site carry a tracking code. If you click one and later sign up or buy something, the company pays me a commission. Your price never changes because of it. In the case of a free trial, you pay nothing at all and I am paid only if you decide to continue afterwards.
How this affects what I write
It does not change the verdict. I write about tools I have paid for and used, and I include the parts that annoyed me. Where a cheaper or better option exists for your situation, I name it, even when that option earns me nothing.
